Cabot Trail
Only fifteen minutes from our locations, the Cabot Trail is one of the most spectacular scenic drives in the world. The Cabot Trail, almost 200 miles, winds around the rocky splendor of Cape Breton's northern shore, ascending to the incredible plateaus of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. From family walks to challenging hikes, come and experience the stunning mountain and coastal landscapes.
Fishing Trips
Cast into the famous salmon pools of the Margaree River or try your hand
at jigging mackerel from the Atlantic Ocean, you are just minutes away a fisherman's
paradise. The Margaree River is world renowned for its salmon and trout fishing.
Experience deep-sea fishing, the main livelihood in our community. Charter boats,
equipped with rods, reels, lines, bait and a skipper with first hands knowledge
of the best fishing spots, can take you out for mackerel and
cod.

Walking/Hiking Trails
Choose from guided family walks or the adventurous trails, experience the rugged splendor and breathtaking vistas of Cape Breton. Most trails are level, however, a few climb the mountains to panoramic lookoffs. Our knowledgeable staff can direct you to trails of your level of adventure and supply maps.

Cape Breton has a wealth of museums depicting our heritage and culture,

the famous Alexander Graham Bell Museum, the Miners Museums and the Fortress
of Louisbourg, our staff can inform and direct you to the museums of interest.
Dances and Festivals
Rich in Scottish music and culture, The Ceilidh Trail, Gaelic for "gathering"
or "celebration", is home to many of Canada's top musicians such as Natalie
MacMaster and the Rankin Family.
